The second and final race of the JK Racing Asia series, proved to be an engaging one as local driver Aditya Patel managed to score his second podium finish of the weekend. Patel had started fourth on the grid but managed to outdrag third place starter and eventual race winner Aston Hare to the first corner.

The race weekend was historic in many ways, by finishing third on day one Patel became the first Indian to finish on the podium at the Buddh International Circuit and with a second position finish on day two; he became the first Indian driver to finish with a twin podium finish in the JK Racing Asia Series.
